About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Software Test Architect / Lead to join our Automation QA team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and leading test automation strategies across large-scale and complex projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of quality assurance best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the test automation strategy and framework for multiple projects.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and reusable test automation solutions.
- Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate automation tools and technologies.
- Lead a team of test engineers; mentor and guide them to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Review and optimize existing test frameworks and scripts.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions to ensure testability and quality.
- Prepare documentation related to test strategies, plans, and results.
- Ready to adjust work shifts as per the project requirements.
- Participate in special projects/assignments and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 6–8 years of overall experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
- Proven experience in leading test automation efforts for enterprise-level applications.
- Expertise in automation tools / frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Katalon Studio, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Appium, Postman, JMeter, Testsigma etc.
- Solid understanding of programming languages like Java or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.
